Energy and Infrastructure in Brazil: A Legal Debate

1 March 2017 Event

Brazil has put into place strategic efforts to attract private investment and to improve policy and legal frameworks in the infrastructure sector. Also, with the Paris Agreement coming into force, shifts in the energy market towards low-carbon energy have increased, and Brazil is identified as a strong market for investment in renewable energy. In this context, the event aims to discuss the legal aspects raised alongside trade and investment opportunities in the energy and infrastructure sectors in Brazil, with a focus on policy development and regulation, project finance, and disputes resolution. The purpose is to provide legal professionals, industry, and investors with an opportunity to consider the role of law and legal processes in making Brazil more attractive for investment in these fields.
